JELYN ROSA LEE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Jelyn Rosa Lee Memorial Scholarship was created in 2020 to support deserving Sacred Heart students with a passion for dance and who share similar qualities and character traits that Jelyn did.
Jelyn was a freshman math major at Sacred Heart and one day aspired to be a teacher. She had a deep passion for dance and was an active member of the SHU Dance Ensemble. Jelyn also had a deep commitment to living her faith. She found time weekly to volunteer with children and demonstrated a willingness to help those around her. Jelyn was a devoted friend and a loyal member of the SHU community.
While Jelyn struggled valiantly with mental illness for many years, her challenges would fade when she danced. Jelyn's painfully young and tragic death in April 2020 prompted her family to establish a scholarship at Sacred Heart in her name. The Jelyn Rosa Lee Memorial Scholarship provides student financial assistance of $2,500 per year.
